We started our Digital Surveillance class and went to the campus library, which is huge, but no comparison to the library in my home university, considering that the majority of the books here were in French. We bought some pastries on the way home, they were a delight. On Wednesday we walked a lot to get our bank accounts created, and we definitely felt like amazing adults after that. We also luckily attended business news class and received an assignment that I was overjoyed to get, where we were required to organise a fashion show. On Thursday, we went to get our third dose of vaccine. We met two other Indians there, and we were helped very graciously by the women at the centre. After the jab, we went to the college canteen and ate some fries and chicken. That made me happy because they were fulfilling. We attended our class on Thursday and came back home to crash down on our bed. Friday through Saturday, we had terrible headaches, body aches and slight fever, due to the vaccine. On Sunday, we walked around, clicked pictures and stumbled upon a very happening village market. There, I ate a chicken roll. Later, we also went thrift shopping. I got the best pair of jeans, and a dark purple top, with a purple embroidered beret that I love. Later that day, we went to drink some boba tea, and we also went into this magnificent church that gave me nothing but peace. It was wondrous. I feel like I will go there again before I leave Lille. This one time, we saw a cat on someone’s window and we took pictures of it. We also saw a note on the window which was in French. As I was translating it, A lady appeared behind the window. When we greeted her, she aggressively pointed towards the note, and we realised that she did not want us photographing her cat. That experience was a little scary and embarrassing. We still use google translate for most of our stuff, but hopefully, it will be better soon. We also invited our friends over for a small potluck, and we did not anticipate it, but it went on till 2 in the night and was extremely fun. We had livid discussions about a lot of things, and we were left with loads of Maggi and fries!
